Rather than generalized solutions, we zoom in on what impacts you the most. Each week, we’ll regularly evaluate and reassess our approach, ensuring that our support is tailored to you and that no detail is overlooked.

Whether you’re grappling with emotional struggles, relationships, or mood regulation, our goal is a holistic support system. We offer a safe space to explore each facet of the ADHD experience triad: the regulatory, practical, and emotional for a well-rounded growth journey.

FAQ’s

Frequently Asked Questions

A diagnostic evaluation is often the quickest and most cost-effective first step. However, jumping straight into therapy could also be a suitable approach for you.

We will  start with a consultation and talk through which option is the best fit for you, to provide you with the most relevant and immediate support for your needs.

While medication can effectively target some of the core ADHD symptoms like inattention and focus, it doesn’t solve every issue.

For instance, medication won’t teach you how to manage your time or the big emotions that often accompany ADHD.

Furthermore, not everyone can tolerate medications like Ritalin and Adderall. For those individuals, therapy can be a very helpful alternative.

ADHD-focused therapy aims to equip you with the skills and strategies to tackle these additional challenges. It also addresses the emotional toll that often accompanies a lifetime of living in a world not built for your brain, enhancing your overall well-being.

Research indicates that a multi-faceted approach delivers the best results for treating ADHD. This may include medication, ADHD-specific therapy, meditation, exercise, and nutrition.

Each treatment avenue addresses different aspects of ADHD, and their collective impact can be transformative. The best treatment plan is individualized, incorporating the approaches that resonate most with you and your needs.

The duration of therapy varies from person to person. We adopt an active, goal-oriented approach, so you may see significant improvements relatively quickly.

However, as ADHD researcher Russel Barkley aptly states, “ADHD is not a disorder of knowing what to do, but of doing what you know.” This means that the path to sustained change may require time, experimentation, and fine-tuning of strategies.

We do not take insurance directly. However, many of our clients submit for out-of-network reimbursement, which may provide full or partial coverage for our services.

To find out more, we suggest you reach out to your health insurance or employee benefit plan and ask the following questions to determine your out-of-network mental health benefits:

Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
What is my deductible, and has it been satisfied?
How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

We understand that navigating insurance can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to help. Our team of clinicians can work with you to help answer any questions you may have and navigate the process of out-of-network coverage.

ADHD is not a moral failing or a lack of willpower; it’s an underpowered executive functioning system. Because of the lack of understanding of ADHD in the world, living with an ADHD brain can create tremendous shame

Therapy aims to alleviate the shame that often holds ADHD brains back, providing a compassionate environment that fosters growth. Our goal is to empower you, helping you implement sustainable routines and strategies that work for your unique brain.
